On March 15-17, Lithuanian Minister of Energy Dainius Kreivys will visit Rome

On March 15-17, Lithuanian Minister of Energy Dainius Kreivys will visit Rome, where he will meet with Italian Minister of Ecological Transit Roberto Cingolani and discuss various energy-related issues, the most important of which are renewable energy sources (RES) and the diversification of Russian gas imports. The Minister will also take part in discussions on Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine, which is heavily linked to the rising energy price crisis in Europe.

During the visit, D. Kreivys will also meet with representatives of SNAM and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) to discuss Lithuania's renewable energy goals and measures for their implementation.

SNAM is one of the main shareholders in Trans Adriatic Pipeline and the company is mainly involved in the Energy Union projects. The company's main goal is to transport fully decarbonized gas by 2050, thus helping to strengthen Italy's role as a European hub for exporting clean energy to Northern Europe.

CDP is a National Promotional Institution that has been supporting the Italian economy since 1850. CDP signed a memorandum of understanding with SNAM and Eni for cooperation on decarbonisation. The agreement stipulates that companies will develop projects in the fields of hydrogen, the circular economy and sustainable mobility.
