InnoEnergy

In May 2018, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic became the first ministry of Lithuania to join InnoEnergy, Europe’s largest network of sustainable energy innovators. This has opened opportunities for our country to collaborate with the leaders of the European energy sector while being part of a broad network of global investors, experts and innovators.

Collaboration within InnoEnergy includes promotion of research, development of energy sector technologies and innovation, application of digital solutions in the sector, and export of Lithuanian energy products and competences.

InnoEnergy offers assistance to growing SMEs in the energy sector that wish to enter European markets and can provide additional financial support. Larger companies are enabled to work with Europe’s best energy start-ups and to receive funding for the placing of their innovative products on the market.

InnoEnergy also provides Master’s and PhD studies for future energy sector leaders and offers international programmes, advanced training and various methods for students’ involvement in business projects.

The network was established in 2010 through cooperation of a number of EU institutions, and is supported by the European Institute for Innovation and Technologies. The objective of InnoEnergy is to promote innovation in areas such as energy efficiency, smart cities and buildings, energy storage, and renewable energy sources.
