Participants from Member States

Projects from Member States are allowed participate in the auctions in Lithuania under the bilateral governmental agreement on support sharing mechanisms. Member States must meet all these conditions:

• to have electricity interconnection with Lithuania;
• to make a commitment that projects in Lithuania would be able to participate in the equivalent support allocation in the Member State;
• electricity produced under the support granted in Lithuania shall be added to the renewable energy targets of Lithuania.

The size of the support is determined taking into account:

• amount of electricity to be auctioned;
• imported electricity amount from the Member State;
• renewable electricity share in the total electricity production in the Member State;
• total final electricity consumption in Lithuania.

Bilateral agreements on support sharing mechanisms are signed by the Government or by its dedicated party.
