Preparations for the reconstruction of the transmission grid in Northeastern Lithuania have started

Preparation for power system reorientation for synchronous operation with the grids of Continental Europe has started with the reconstruction of the Lithuanian transmission grid in the northeast of the country. Reconstruction project involves renewing of the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant and Utena substations. Reconstruction works will commence at the end of 2018 and are planned to be accomplished in 2021.
